What are the 8 Branches of Bloom Wellness and why do I need them?

Our unique approach to holistic wellness addresses aspects of our health and well-being, that individually have power, but collectively create a deeply happy, healthy and fulfilling life. Here’s our roadmap:

  1. Eat Mostly Plants

    We love the quote “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” Let’s break this down.

    Eat food means eat real food, unprocessed and from nature.

    Not too much is a lot harder than it sounds, actually. Evolution has dictated that we eat when the food is available. The only problem is that in the 21st century, the food is always available, if we’re lucky enough to be born into relative affluence. The solution? Eat satisfying, healthy, naturally lower caloric, nutrient dense food, that fills you up so you’re less inclined to eat the junk. If it were just that though, you’d be doing it already, but building healthy habits is easy when you have the right tools and support.

    Mostly plants

    Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that you can only eat kale! It means that your focus at each meal should be foods that grow naturally. Whole grains, fruit, vegetable, nuts, lentils, beans and seeds are examples of foods that we don’t really have to change to eat. These are the foods that are filled with vitamins, nutrients and fiber and will help you feel your best both mentally and physically, be a healthy weight, and live a long life. There’s room for other foods as well but laying a healthy foundation is key.

  2. Move Your Body

    It doesn’t matter how you do it, just get out there and move! Always wanted to try belly dancing? Take an online class! Hate the gym? Don’t go to the gym! The simplest exercise is to go outside, connect with nature and walk. Better yet, take a friend. Building daily movement, that you enjoy, into your every day life makes movement easy and fun.

  3. Sleep Like a Baby

    Sleep is so fundamental that we can survive longer without food than we can without sleep! Sadly, we live in a culture that applauds those who work endless hours and get little sleep.
