Why Go Plant-Based?

So you’re plant-based curious? We’re glad you’re here. Going plant-based is a lot easier and more delicious than you’ve been told by that vegan friend at the gym who is always a hangry.

But why is there a plant-based revolution afoot? It’s simple: plant-centric people tend to live longer, weigh less, have healthier hearts, have more energy, less inflammation and stronger immune systems.

For years now doctors and scientists have been touting the benefits of a plant-based diet as a way to reverse the affects of our western diseases of “lifestyle.” Countless studies show that eating mostly plants reduces our cholesterol, and our risk for heart attacks, improves type 2 diabetes, and greatly reduces obesity.

It makes sense that when we eat the foods that nourish our bodies (nutrient dense, REAL food from nature: fruit, veggies, beans, lentils, whole grains, nuts and seeds) our bodies work better and we live longer. The Standard American Diet (or SAD) is filled with the foods that make us sick. The SAD diet consists of processed foods, sugary foods, refined carbs, soda and waaaaay too many animal products.
